They do have ONE thing in common... BOTH are communicating something! From the way we look to the way we speak we are always sending out powerful signals. Best make sure they are the ones we want to give! First impressions are so important! |

To succeed in todays ever-changing and highly competitive world we must send out the right message. To ensure we do, we need the correct grooming. The good news is that its quite easy to achieve this at any age. Its best to start young, but we can always improve at any stage of our lives. |

LamdA Examinations Tuition
LAMDA The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art has been a centre of excellence in performance training for children and adults for 150 years indeed 2011 sees LAMDA celebrate its 150th anniversary. For any English speaker, the benefits of LAMDA Examinations training include self-confidence and the art of communication, as well as support of creative, intellectual and social development on a personal level.
A typical lesson is serious fun. It starts with a short physical warm-up and relaxation to release tension and improve posture. This is followed by a vocal session of proven and often amusing exercises to develop the voice effectively and build skill in diction. Then we move to part two: we interpret meaning of suitable texts, in order to engage imaginatively with the work. It is very important that the student is happy with the piece chosen. Together we analyse the thought, emotion, style and form of the text verse or prose. We look at the action, at the characters within to decide what sort of people they are, what they are telling us, and also what their unspoken emotions and intentions may be (the sub-text). This guides the student towards the best way to perform the text to an audience. We rehearse. Students are expected to learn chosen pieces by heart as quickly as possible. This is essential to develop an understanding of the character they are portraying, and to be able to produce an imaginative and masterful performance.
Length of lessons: Individual lessons: 45 mins Group lessons: between 1h to 1h30.
